What to watch for Wednesday in politics (The Ticket)

The pace does not let up.

Rick Santorum won in Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri on Tuesday, and he's headed to Texas on Wednesday for three campaign stops. Mitt Romney is headed to Georgia, and Newt Gingrich will be in Ohio, where he has campaigned for the past two days. All three states are in the March 6 "Super Tuesday" lineup.

There was nothing on Ron Paul's web site about his Wednesday schedule, but that doesn't mean he's backing off. He declared that the Tuesday results signal an opportunity for somebody ? including him ? to stop Romney from getting the GOP nomination. Paul came in second in Minnesota, which pushed Romney to a third-place finish.

And Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson is still out there on the stump. He'll be in Florida on Wednesday.

President Barack Obama will be talking politics and strategy when he attends the Democratic Senate Caucus Retreat at Nationals Park at 2 p.m. EST.

And then there is this: Once Upon a Secret: My Affair with President John F Kennedy and its Aftermath, by Mimi Alford, is officially published. Alford also will be interviewed by Meredith Vieira on Wednesday's episode of NBC's Rock Center with Brian Williams.
